What is the recruitment process?

Before you arrive, you can apply here

If you are eligible for one of the two work permits above, you’ll be able to book an interview with one of our squad managers upon finishing the job application.

Once you arrive, you will attend a registration session (Either online or in-person), where you will supply documentation and prepare for your first shift with Young Guns.

You will then be sent the date and time of your first shift and be given any important information you need to know prior to your first day on the job.

On your first day you will be welcomed to the team and meet the crew, complete any onsite inductions or training, and jump into a container and do some hands-on work.

How do I find accommodation in Canada?

If you’re opting into subsidized housing, we will provide you with the details of your new home prior to arriving in Canada.

If you’re arranging your own accommodation, we recommend getting an AirBnb for a month and then finding long term accommodation upon arrival in Canada.

How do I get around the city?

This varies from city to city. It is advised to get a transit pass to start.

What happens if I want to cancel my trip?

Nothing. All you need to do is let us know that your plans have changed.

How long does it take to settle in?

This depends on the individual. However, we try to make your transition as smooth as possible by supporting you as you settle into your new location.

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Most travellers must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements before travelling to Canada by air.

You need to provide proof of vaccination to enter Canada if you are:

  • Not a Canadian citizen or resident
  • Foreign air crew arriving in Canada.
